Dear Friends,

Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. 2005 marked the 75th anniversary of the founding of Mary Ryder Home by a group of concerned St. Louis citizens, spearheaded by Mary Elizabeth Ryder. We can only speculate whether they could have foreseen how this organization would grow and evolve over the years. I do believe they would be proud of our 75-year legacy of caring and dedication to serving the fastest growing segment of the elderly population: Seniors, struggling in poverty, who can no longer live independently.

For us, it is about providing a safe home, supportive care and an enriched life to frail elderly who are no longer safe living independently but, because they have little or no money, have few Assisted Living/Residential Care options. This is what we do every day at Mary Ryder Home for over 110 Seniors each year. Why do we do what we do? Because they deserve our help!

Our ability to continue doing this work is dependent on many things including your support as volunteers, charitable donors and grass roots supporters. I invite you to browse our website to learn more about the important programs and services we provide to our community’s most vulnerable, at-risk Seniors. We are sincerely grateful for your support!

Best Regards,

Timothy J. Butler
